INTRODUCTION TO FINDING A HOME FOR
YOUR DOG
Good Shepherd Rescue understands that there are many
life circumstances that make it necessary for a dog owner to find a new
home for their pet. Our group does except owner surrenders.
However our funds and foster homes are limited. So we must prioritize
the dogs we take into our program. Our first priorities are the dogs in
immediate danger. Those that are abandoned, abused or next in line to
be put down at the shelter.
Although we might not be able to physically take your
dog, we can help you in several ways.
- Please read the attached article "Find a Home
for Your Dog". It offers excellent information for helping you
"re-home" your dog.
- We do provide a referral service for owners needing
to relocate their dogs. We will be happy to list your dog on our k9adopt.org
web site, but it remains the owner’s responsibility to ensure their
pet goes to the best possible home. To list a dog on the k9adopt.org
web site please email sherry427@verizon.net
and she will be happy to assist you. Usually the photo and description
is added the same day you email the information to her.
- To contact Good Shepherd K9 Rescue by phone call
